Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan demoted South Barwon MP Darren Cheeseman from his role as Parliamentary Secretary for Schools over allegations of persistent, inappropriate behavior towards staff. Allan cited the ministerial code of conduct requiring ministers and parliamentary secretaries to behave to the highest standards and uphold community expectations. Cheeseman resigned from the role but will remain a member of parliament and the parliamentary Labor Party.
