Air China orders 100 Comac C919 jets in a $10.8B deal, challenging Airbus and Boeing dominance.

Air China is set to buy 100 Comac C919 jets in a $10.8 billion deal, boosting China's home-grown planemaker's challenge to Airbus and Boeing. The C919, which is similar in size to the Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 family of jets, will be delivered between 2024 and 2031, Air China announced in a filing. This marks China's push into the market for larger commercial airliners, traditionally dominated by Airbus and Boeing.
