21-year-old Armando Leonardo Moreno, known as 'Cholo,' was sentenced to 21 years and 4 months in prison for his role in a fatal kidnapping as part of a transnational criminal organization. Moreno and his co-conspirators kidnapped a person from an El Paso stash house on September 13, 2021. The victim was later found dead in Las Cruces with multiple gunshot and stab wounds. Three codefendants have already been sentenced, with a fourth awaiting sentencing on May 1.
