2 police officers deny assaulting a 93-yr old amputee in care home; incident leads to death, charges of assault in Westminster Magistrates' Court.

Two police officers, Rachel Commotto and Stephen Smith, denied assaulting a 93-year-old amputee pensioner, Donald Burgess, with pepper spray and a Taser in his care home. The officers were called to a care home in St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex in June 2022, and Burgess died in hospital 22 days later. At Westminster Magistrates' Court, both officers pleaded not guilty to charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
