YMCA in Greater Michiana plans to open a new downtown South Bend fitness center, pending city redevelopment commission approval. If approved, YMCA will lease Memorial Leighton Healthplex's 3rd and 4th floors rent-free for 8 years, providing their old building for future city redevelopment. The new facility will offer cardio, weight training, basketball, racquetball, pools, locker rooms, and more. Beacon Health & Fitness South Bend members can join the new YMCA.
