56-year-old pedestrian from Gilroy was fatally struck by a Ford Windstar while attempting to cross Monterey Road in San Martin. The 55-year-old driver from Windsor was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol, according to California Highway Patrol. Authorities are seeking witnesses and ask them to contact Officer Uribe at 408-427-0700. The victim's name is being withheld until his family is informed.
