180 trees and thousands of bushes were illegally cut down on shared land behind Gov. Ned Lamont's Greenwich home, without permits in a protected wetland. The Greenwich Inland Wetlands and Watercourse Agency cited Lamont, the Viks, and the Ashton Drive Association for wetlands violations. Town records and officials claim the tree removal provided a scenic view from Lamont's house and neighbors.
