South Island's Akaroa Village Inn loses legal battle, ordered to pay $7,500 for not providing employment records to Labour Inspectorate.
A South Island hospitality business, Akaroa Village Inn (CAIL), has lost its three-and-a-half-year legal battle over refusing to provide employment records to the Labour Inspectorate. The Employment Relations Authority (ERA) ordered CAIL, owned by Darren and Lyndal Angus, to pay $7,500 in penalties and comply with the Labour Inspector's initial request for records.
