2016's "The Nice Guys" sequel won't happen due to underperforming box office against "Angry Birds" and "Captain America: Civil War".
Ryan Gosling has confirmed that a sequel to the 2016 black comedy 'The Nice Guys', in which he starred alongside Russell Crowe, will not happen. Gosling blames the film's box office performance against 'Angry Birds' for its lack of a sequel. The film, which earned $11.2 million on opening weekend, failed to match the earnings of 'Angry Birds' ($38 million) and 'Captain America: Civil War' ($32.9 million) at the time of its release.
