RBI raises minimum capital requirement for ARCs in securitisation to Rs 300 crore by 2026.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) released Master Direction for Asset Reconstruction Companies (ARCs) on April 24, raising the minimum capital requirement for ARCs to begin securitisation to Rs 300 crore from Rs 100 crore earlier. ARCs now have to increase their minimum required net owned fund (NOF) to Rs 200 crore by March 31, 2024, and to Rs 300 crore by March 31, 2026, according to the RBI's directions.
