The Nigerian Consumer Credit Corporation (CREDICORP), responsible for implementing the scheme, plans to strengthen credit reporting systems, offer credit guarantees, and promote responsible consumer credit practices. The scheme will be introduced in phases, starting with civil servants and gradually extending to the public.
