Poland's prosecutor general reports previous government used Pegasus spyware against hundreds, including officials.

Poland's prosecutor general, Adam Bodnar, has informed the parliament that the previous government in Poland used powerful Pegasus spyware against hundreds of people, including elected officials. Bodnar described the scale of surveillance as "shocking and depressing" and did not specify who was targeted by the spyware. The prosecutor general's office shared data last week showing that Pegasus was used in 578 cases from 2017 to 2022 by three separate government agencies.
