NZAVS, NZ's only charity dedicated to ending animal experimentation, launches a rat rehoming program with the University of Auckland on World Day for Animals in Labs. The initiative aims to meet the needs of the animal science and research community, as well as aid the animals involved. The collaboration, though seemingly incongruous, reflects a shared goal among the scientific community in NZ to reduce animal use in research, testing, and teaching.
