Three Nebraska State Penitentiary employees, Abbey Fielder, Laura Schluckebier, and Nicole Carter, were arrested for improper relationships with multiple inmates. The investigation found conversations implicating the three women in illegal relationships involving seven inmates, with two sexually abused. Fielder, Schluckebier, and Carter have been placed on investigatory suspension or lost their jobs at the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services. NDCS Director Rob Jeffreys stated that inappropriate behavior involving incarcerated individuals will not be tolerated in the department.
