Montana's Behavioral Health Commission, which advises the governor on $300m in mental health funding, supports recommendations to expand services for developmental disabilities, homeless individuals with mental illness, and substance use disorders, invest in school-based behavioral health initiatives, and train more behavioral health workers. The commission is also considering a Montana community health worker program. However, long-term costs remain uncertain.
