Italy's competition authority fined Amazon €10 million for unfair commercial practices, over "recurring" rather than "one-time" purchases. The option to set up regular purchases was pre-selected by default on a wide range of products listed on Amazon's Italian website, allegedly limiting customers' ability to choose freely. The conduct was deemed contrary to professional diligence standards.
