The former Kogi Governor, Yahaya Bello, allegedly withdrew $720,000 from state funds to pay his child's school fees in advance, according to EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede. Bello transferred the money from the state account to a bureau de change operator, intending to use it for his child's school fee. The EFCC is investigating the former governor for alleged money laundering involving N80.2 billion.
