Former horse trainer Mitchell Paul Kerr was sentenced to five months of home detention for providing misleading statements and hiding crucial information from the Official Assignee of New Zealand during his self-adjudicated bankruptcy application. Kerr, whose racing licence was revoked, concealed his bank accounts used for gambling while filing bankruptcy. Between April 2018 and November 2020, he gambled $2.055M, which he did not disclose.
