Construction starts on a temporary $6.8M fire-paramedic station in Waverley West, Winnipeg, to be completed in months; permanent station planned for 2026.

Construction begins on a temporary modular fire-paramedic station in Waverley West, a fast-growing suburb of southwest Winnipeg. The $6.8 million project is expected to be completed in the coming months at Eaglewood Park. The station, which will house a fire engine, crew, an ambulance, and paramedics, is a temporary solution until a permanent station at the corner of Bison Drive and Ruth Crossing is built in 2026.
