Chinese researchers discovered a new Asteraceae species, Ixeridium malingheense, in Guizhou Province's Maling River Canyon, located within Xingyi Geopark. This high-altitude species grows on limestone near water. The discovery adds to the region's complex Karst landscape and rich flora. The findings were published in the international academic journal Phytotaxa.
