Afrobeats artist Pheelz, in an interview on the Afrobeats Podcast, has expressed his support for the Afrobeats tag, calling it the spirit of the Nigerian people. While acknowledging that some artists choose to disassociate with the movement, he identifies with it and will proudly wave its flag. Pheelz believes Afrobeats is a form of collective decision by Africans and Nigerians to identify their music and where it comes from.
