62-year-old man injured as a large cherry blossom tree falls on him at Kyoto's busy Sannenzaka slope, near Kiyomizudera Temple. The incident occurred on April 23 at around 11:45 a.m. local time, when the man was reportedly trapped under the tree. He had difficulty walking and was taken to a nearby hospital. The fallen tree, approximately 9.1 meters high and 40 centimeters in diameter, was located on private land near the popular tourist spot.
