19-year-old Israel Easterday from Kentucky, who stormed the US Capitol with a Confederate flag, has been sentenced to over two years in prison for pepper spraying two police officers in the face during the Jan. 6, 2021 riot. The judge cited Easterday's youth as a reason for the lighter sentence, which was five times lower than the Justice Department's initial sentencing recommendation.
