22-year-old dies in Roanoke Ave car crash; driver veered, struck utility pole. On April 1, a Dodge Charger crashed into a utility pole on Roanoke Avenue, leaving the driver's side on fire and injuring six occupants. The driver veered off the road and hit the pole head-on. The Chattanooga Police Department's Traffic Unit is investigating the incident. A 22-year-old passenger succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
