27-year-old Louisiana man, Colby Purkel, pleaded guilty to a felony charge of civil disorder for his alleged actions during the Jan 6 Capitol riot, where he and his father, 51-year-old Willard Colby Purkel Jr., were accused of forcibly entering the Capitol via the East Rotunda doors, alongside other rioters. Colby Purkel will be sentenced on August 1 and his father's trial is yet to be scheduled.
