Wisconsin increases tree planting goal to 100 million by 2030 as part of the Trillion Trees Pledge.

Gov. Tony Evers and the Wisconsin DNR increased the state's pledge to plant 100 million trees by the end of 2030, up from the initial goal of 75 million trees. The state has already planted over 32 million trees since Evers signed Executive Order #112 in 2021. The new goal is part of the Trillion Trees Pledge, which aims to tackle climate change by planting trees and conserving forests.
