UN Secretary-General António Guterres appoints Gita Sabharwal, an Indian development expert with 30 years' experience, as the UN Resident Coordinator in Indonesia. Sabharwal will support climate transition, sustainable peace, governance, social policy, and use digital technology and data to accelerate the Sustainable Development Goals. The appointment is with the host government's approval.
