Germany's Super RTL, a children's TV network under RTL Group, has acquired rights to Nickelodeon series in Germany, intending to create a new linear children's channel featuring popular shows such as "PAW Patrol" and "SpongeBob SquarePants". Super RTL plans to take over Nickelodeon's established satellite frequency for this purpose. The acquisition is pending approval from Germany's competition regulator.
