12-string acoustic guitar owned by John Lennon found in UK attic, to be auctioned with estimated value of $600k-$800k.
A 12-string acoustic guitar previously owned by John Lennon of The Beatles and believed lost for 50 years has been discovered in a UK attic and is set to be auctioned in May, with an estimated value of $600,000 to $800,000. The instrument, which is expected to exceed its estimated value, was used by Lennon on the 1965 Beatles album "Help!" The guitar was gifted to British musician Gordon Waller, a member of the 1960s pop duo Peter and Gordon, who later gifted it to his road manager.
