Energy Minister Simeon Brown has welcomed the opening of New Zealand's first network of hydrogen refuelling stations in Wiri. This milestone marks an important step in the nation's hydrogen future, with the stations set to play a key role in decarbonising industries such as fertiliser and methanol production, as well as heavy road transport. The government plans to double the supply of renewable energy to support the growth of the hydrogen sector.
