Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) becomes the first Japanese operator to commercially install an onboard CO2 capture system, the "Filtree System," on its LR1 product tanker Nexus Victoria. Manufactured by Value Maritime B.V., a Dutch emission-reducing technology company, the Filtree System combines a SOx scrubber with a carbon capture and storage function, separating and recovering up to 10% of CO2 from exhaust emissions.
