Rock icon Sammy Hagar, former Van Halen frontman, is set to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on April 30. The 2,779th star will be located at 6212 Hollywood Boulevard, adjacent to Amoeba Music. Food Network star Guy Fieri will serve as emcee, with John Mayer and Hagar's manager Tom Consolo as guest speakers. This honor comes as Hagar also prepares to celebrate the opening of his tropical poolside restaurant and bar, Sammy's Island, at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.
