Keister Elementary celebrated Earth Day with the opening of a new outdoor learning area called the Outdoor Learning Project, created by art teacher Brooke Imber in partnership with Harrisonburg and with funding from organizations including the Virginia Department of Forestry. Students got to enjoy activities such as lounging in hammocks and making art on picnic blankets, while learning about plants, animals, and environmental care.
