JNU VC Santishree Pandit opposes uniformity in religion, language, and dress, supports individual choice, and opposes imposing single language.

JNU Vice Chancellor Santishree D Pandit said India is not for any one community and uniformity in religion, language, and dress code is not feasible. Pandit also emphasized the importance of respecting individual choices and allowing those who wish to wear a hijab to do so. She expressed opposition to imposing a single language, citing the challenges in states where Hindi may not be widely accepted.
