Iranian and Pakistani leaders vowed to strengthen economic and security cooperation in a meeting on Monday, as the two countries seek to smooth over a diplomatic rift. Both sides agreed to increase the volume of bilateral trade to $10 billion in the next five years, and to promote trade and business activities in border areas to ensure the well-being of local populations. The leaders also emphasized their commitment to fight terrorism and other organized crimes.
