2017-initiated Ahmedabad-Mumbai bullet train project in India, with 290 km completed, set to open its first section by 2026.

India's first bullet train progressing well, set to run in one section by 2026: Railways Minister. Union Railways and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw reported that over 290 km of work has been completed on the Ahmedabad-Mumbai route, with bridges built over eight rivers and stations at the same level for quicker completion. The project, which began in 2017, is on track for its first section to open in 2026.
