1,018 people, including 498 Bangladeshis, 396 Indians, and 124 Rohingyas, were apprehended by the Border Security Force (BSF) in Tripura between January 2023 and April 2024, attempting to cross the Indo-Bangla international border. The BSF has increased detentions compared to previous years, with 208 intruders detained in 2021 and 369 in 2022. The BSF aims to complete fencing work on the border and deploy technological solutions to enhance security.
