10 Chinese entities, including universities and research institutes, have acquired Nvidia's high-end chips despite a US ban on their sale to China. The chips were obtained through third-party vendors and were embedded in servers made by Super Micro Computer Inc., Dell Technologies Inc., and Gigabyte Technology Co Ltd. The US had expanded its ban on sales of such technology to China in November.
