Celebrity chef Lusizo Henna sentenced to 10 years for defrauding SARS of R3.1m and money laundering.

Celebrity chef Lusizo Henna was sentenced to 10 years in prison for defrauding the South African Revenue Service (Sars) of R3.1m. The Johannesburg Specialised Commercial Crimes Court found Henna, owner of Blaque Olive Chefs, guilty of submitting fraudulent VAT claims totaling R5.3m. Henna was also sentenced to six years imprisonment on 14 counts of money laundering, with both sentences to run concurrently.
