CBP seizes $1m of methamphetamine hidden in charcoal shipment at Otay Mesa in Operation Apollo.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers at Otay Mesa Cargo Facility in California seized $1m worth of methamphetamine hidden in a charcoal shipment. A 46-year-old driver was referred for further examination, and a full scan revealed 119 packages of methamphetamine (782 lbs) within the shipment. This seizure was part of Operation Apollo, an initiative to stop drug smuggling across the U.S. border.
