The Bombay High Court has dismissed a suit challenging the position of Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin as the leader of the Dawoodi Bohra community. The suit, initially filed by Khuzaima Qutbuddin in 2014, claimed that Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin's appointment as the 53rd Syedna was fraudulent. The court's decision was based on evidence and not on matters of faith. Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin remains the spiritual head of the Dawoodi Bohra community.
