3,400-year-old stolen statue of King Ramses II reclaimed by Egypt after being smuggled and discovered in London in 2013.

Egypt has reclaimed a 3,400-year-old stolen statue of King Ramses II, which was smuggled out of the country over 3 decades ago. The statue was discovered when it was offered for sale in an exhibition in London in 2013 and moved to several countries before reaching Switzerland. It is now in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo but not on display, awaiting restoration.
