Woolworths NZ introduces body cameras to 191 stores, following a 75% increase in physical assaults & 148% rise in serious reportable events. Cameras were trialed in 17 stores, improving staff safety & de-escalating conflicts. The rollout is part of a $45M, 3-year security plan, also including walkie-talkies & trolley lock systems. All security measures adhere to New Zealand law, including privacy requirements.
