UGC cancels normalization for CUET-UG and NET exams due to OMR technology enabling nationwide single-day testing.
UGC has announced that normalisation of scores for CUET-UG and NET exams will not be implemented this year, as both tests will be conducted in a single shift for each subject. This change is due to the adoption of OMR technology, enabling tests to be held on the same day nationwide, and making normalisation unnecessary. The CUET-UG will run from May 15 to 24, with 15 subjects in pen and paper mode and 48 subjects in online mode, while the UGC-NET, previously in CBT mode, will be held in pen and paper mode on June 16.
