The Supreme Court of India overturned an NCDRC order, ruling that YRF was not liable for excluding a promotional song in 'Fan' film.

The Supreme Court of India has overturned a previous National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC) order, which directed Yash Raj Films (YRF) to pay compensation to a moviegoer who felt misled by the omission of the song 'Jabra Fan' from Shah Rukh Khan's film 'Fan'. The Supreme Court clarified the distinction between promotional content and the final film product, stating that the song was solely a promotional song, not required to be included in the final film. YRF was not held liable for any loss or disappointment caused to the viewer.
