South African President Cyril Ramaphosa expressed confidence in the African National Congress' (ANC) ability to retain power in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) and maintain an outright majority in the country's upcoming elections. Ramaphosa dismissed the emergence of the uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) party, led by former president Jacob Zuma, as a threat to the ANC's position.
