The RCMP have issued a caution for drivers to avoid the area near Regina Beach due to a large fire in a rural area near the landfill. Fire departments from Regina Beach, Lumsden, and Bethune are working to control the blaze, with some local roads closed. RCMP advise drivers to avoid the area south and southwest of Highway 54 and to slow down when driving through smoke. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
