Portuguese oil company Galp Energia estimates Mopane field in Namibia's Orange Basin holds at least 10 billion barrels of oil.

Portuguese oil company Galp Energia estimates the Mopane field off the coast of Namibia could hold at least 10 billion barrels of oil. Galp has completed the first phase of exploration and testing at the Mopane-1X and Mopane-2X wells, which discovered significant light oil columns in high-quality reservoir sands. The Mopane field is located in the Orange Basin, where other oil and gas discoveries have been made by Shell and TotalEnergies.
