2 people died in a house fire in Walthamstow, northeast London. The fire, reported at 10:25 pm on Sunday, destroyed a two-storey home on Forest Road. Six fire engines and 40 firefighters from four stations attended the scene, bringing the blaze under control by 12:22 am. The London Fire Brigade and Metropolitan Police are jointly investigating the cause of the fire and the identities of the victims.
