3 Nigerian drug traffickers arrested by NDLEA after largest heroin seizure at Lagos airport.

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Nigeria has arrested three members of an organized criminal group involved in illicit drug trafficking across Nigeria, South Africa, Mozambique, Europe, and America. The suspects were declared wanted by the NDLEA following the seizure of the largest heroin consignment at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Ikeja, Lagos. A total of 51.90 kg of heroin was recovered from the drug cartel during an operation that began on February 10, 2024, at the airport's cargo terminal. The heroin was concealed in 15 cartons of 2300-watt metal cutting machines.
